Gaumee Kuthubukhaanaa

A lit diorama of the National Library reading room — shelves packed floor to ceiling, a single desk and chair under warm strip lights, drawers and card cabinets built to scale. The library began in 1945 as the State Library, was renamed Majeedhee in 1948 and took its present name, Qaumee Kuthubukhaanaa, in 1982. The model treats the room as a quiet interior: everything is furniture, paper and light.
